GENERAL INFORMATION

El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument is a Department of the City of Los Angeles. As a Department, it is staffed by City employees and governed by a Board of Commissioners selected by the Mayor. El Pueblo is the oldest section of Los Angeles and is the site where the City was first established in 1781.
